Travis Cox lives in Driftwood, Texas, located in the heart of Hays County with his wife Victoria and their 3 daughters. A 5th generation Texan, he was born and raised between Austin and Dripping Springs. He is proud to be the son of Tommy and Brenda Cox, both retired Texas educators. Travis is a Master Plumber licensed with the Texas Board of Plumbing Examiners and holds an Underground Fire Protection Sprinkler license with the Texas State Fire Marshalls office. In addition to maintaining his licenses, he is the owner of two successful local businesses. He has worked all over the great State of Texas with his commercial plumbing company. He has gained a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry over the last 17 years.

Travis Cox is a strong believer that the greatest way to lead is by example. Travis and his family have donated time and resources to numerous non-profit organizations throughout central Texas with the hope of empowering the next generation in our community. Travis is a huge supporter of The Hays County youth livestock show. His 3 daughters are very active in their local Wimberley 4H showing Heifers, Steers and goats. Travis Cox is a contributor to Hays County Young Life, Central Texas Life Care, Hays County Sheriff’s Scramble for the kids, Gunner Thames Memorial Rodeo, YMCA, The Wimberley Education Foundation, Emily Anne Theater, Wimberley High School Model United Nations, Wimberley High Schools Project graduation, Travis County Livestock show, Knights of Columbus, Rodeo Austin’s youth livestock show, Wimberley Civic Club, Wimberley EMS, Lonestar Cattleman’s, VFW Post #6441, Wimberley FFA, Buda 4H and countless other causes and groups. He has a heart to serve his community and feels this quality can be put to good use on the PEC board.

Being self-employed for 13 years has given Travis extensive experience working with customers in the private and public sectors. He understands the significance of a budget and thoughtful dialogue. He is no stranger to hard work, and he will bring his work ethic to the PEC board.

Managing numerous contracts and deadlines is a part of his daily routine. Having held several contracts with The City of Austin, The Austin Independent School District, Texas General Land Office, Texas Military Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas State University, University of Texas and numerous other universities, school districts, municipalities and numerous private projects Travis has acquired the patience and organizational skills needed to work with dozens of entities to get the job done, on time and on budget. He hopes to bring his wide-ranging experience to the PEC board to help in the coming years with our areas accelerated growth and maintaining a slow and steady business model which will benefit all PEC members.

Travis Cox will be dedicated to helping the members get the most for their money when dealing with new and existing construction, while ensuring PEC customers that service is a top priority. Travis Cox is a level-headed businessman capable of making tough decisions. District 7 needs a man like Travis Cox representing their best interests in the coming years.
